Mykonos was ranked 3rd in the categories “Best Island in Europe” and “Best Beaches Internationally” (Best Beaches)
Greece remains one of the most popular European destinations in 2024 for travelers from the US.
This fact was also confirmed at the American Tourism Audience Awards Leisure Lifestyle Awards 2024in which our country won top honors.
In particular, Greece emerged as the winner for the third consecutive year in the “Best Historical Attractions, International” category, while Santorini took first place in the “Best Island in Europe” category for the eleventh time in a row.
At the same time, Mykonos was ranked 3rd in the “Best Island in Europe” and “Best Beaches International” categories.
The Leisure Lifestyle Awards 2024 were organized this year for the 12th year by the travel magazine “Global Traveler”. The relevant voting took place from July 15, 2023 to March 8, 2024 with the participation of thousands of readers of the magazine and its digital media, who registered their preferences in American (domestic) and international destinations and service providers for leisure, luxury and adventure.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 16 at The Union League of Philadelphia. The Greek awards will be received by the head of the US & North American EOT Service, Konstantinos Harokopos.
