A Drug Enforcement Officer had infiltrated the circuit behind the container with 210 kg of cocaine which the authorities found in the port of Piraeus, yesterday Thursday in a cargo of shrimps, as revealed by the press representative of Action 24 TV Police, Constantia Dimoglidou.

He also referred to the second shipment of 100 kg of cocaine that arrived last night in Piraeus, saying that the police still do not know who would receive it, describing it as an “orphan”.
As he said, the police officers may not have known the size of the quantity found inside the container – refrigerator with the shrimps, however they knew that there were drugs inside which the 4 arrested would receive.
The 4 arrested
Regarding the role of each of the members of the organization, they were separated as follows:

54 years oldwas tasked with the operational coverage and protection of the 48-year-old, taking appropriate measures to avoid his arrest.
In surveys carried out in houses and vehicles, also found and seized:
-cocaine with a total weight of -510- grams,
-raw cannabis weighing -1.5- grams,
-the sums of -131,675-€ and -30- British pounds,
– pistol with a magazine with fifteen (15) cartridges,
-37- cartridges of 9. and -3- cartridges of 7.65 mm,
-scale,
-2- motorcycles,
-17 mobile devices, memory card (usb device),
-3 electronic devices for geographic location (GPS tracker),
-container closure seal and
-numerous pages of notes.
It is noted that a 20-year prison sentence and a fine were pending against the 48-year-old leading member, as in 2017 he was accused of being in charge of the installation and operation of a laboratory for the production of synthetic drug tablets, where more than 634,000 CAPTAGON tablets were found and confiscated.
In response to the question of why he was free after the first 20-year sentence was imposed in 2019, when the proceedings at the Court of Appeal ended, the representative of EL.AS., Mrs. Dimoglidou, speaking to Action 24, said:
“We do not know if this man was in our country, if he resided permanently in Greece.”
Also, the 64-year-old had served a prison sentence in the USA. for his involvement in a transfer case from Europe.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the criminal organization’s illegal activities and any connections it may have with other similar networks, as well as the identification of its members.
