In the “digital wallet» of 18-year-olds enters today, Friday, May 31, the Youth Pass.

The young people whose application was approved have already received relevant messages from the cooperating banks.

Beneficiaries can redeem the amount of aid in very specific activities, among other things and in view of the summer they have the possibility to cover part of the cost (or even the whole) of the ferry tickets.

Where is it redeemed?

The 150 euros of the Youth Pass are in the form of a digital debit card, which beneficiaries can redeem at theaters, hotels or even plane tickets.

After submitting the application, the credit institution or financial organization informs the beneficiary about the activation of the card and the crediting of the amount of money via a text message (sms) or an e-mail message (e-mail) with an embedded link to activate the digital debit card.

Beneficiaries can then use the 150 euro subsidy to make purchases or receive services from businesses active in the following sectors:

Tourism (eg accommodation)
Culture (e.g. for watching theater performances or concerts, buying books, etc.)
Transportation (taxi, buses, trains, ferry – plane tickets or for the rental of cars or pleasure boats, etc.).

What beneficiaries need to know

What 18-year-olds should know is that they can apply to participate in the Youth Pass from April 1st to May 15th of each year.

It should be noted that there are no property or income criteria and all young people over the age of 18 can apply, regardless of whether they come from wealthy or “vulnerable” families.

The application is submitted once and is not resubmitted after the beneficiary turns 19.

The payment of the beneficiaries for the following year is made automatically, after a re-check of the conditions for participation in the program.
