Many Kindergartens and Primary schools will also be closed tomorrow due to the heat.

Announcements regarding the operation or non-operation of primary education schools are the responsibility of the municipalities, as the Region of Attica clarified in its announcement.

Which kindergartens and schools will be closed on Thursday 13 June

  • All Kindergartens and Primary Schools, both Public and Private, will be closed in Municipality of Alimos. Kindergartens and nurseries will remain open, with air-conditioned areas. Any evening activities (e.g. celebrations) should also be postponed. All Kindergartens, both public and private, will remain open, but it is recommended that children not go if parents are able to keep them at home.
  • Kindergartens and elementary schools will be closed on Agios Dimitrios
  • Municipality Saint Paraskevi: Kindergartens and elementary schools will not operate
  • Schools will not operate on Municipality of Aspropyrgos
  • In the Municipality Vrilission all grade schools will be closed due to the local holiday of the Ascension of the Lord
  • To Municipality of Elefsina schools will remain closed
  • Elliniko – Argyroupoli: Primary and Kindergartens are closed due to the heat
  • To Municipality of Vari-Voulas-Vouliagmeni Elementary and Kindergartens will be closed
  • Municipality of Glyfada: Elementary and Kindergartens are closed
  • Municipality Heraklion Attica: Kindergartens and elementary schools will not operate
  • Municipality of Kallithea: Closed Kindergartens, Elementary and Nursery Schools
  • Schools in the Municipality will not operate Mandras – Idyllias
  • Municipality of Nea Smyrni: Closed Primary and Kindergartens
  • Municipality of Palaio Faliro: Closed Primary and Kindergartens
  • Municipality of Penteli: Elementary and Kindergartens are closed
  • Municipality of Filothei – Psychiko: Elementary and Kindergartens are closed. All Preschool Education units (public and private nurseries) will remain open.
  • Municipality of Chalandri: Suspension of Primary and Kindergarten operations. The Kindergartens will operate normally.

For Friday, June 14, new announcements are expected to follow in the event that Kindergartens and Primary Schools remain closed, although for now the indications are that the temperatures on Friday will drop and there will be no need to take emergency measures.
