What hours will the ban apply?
ELAS announced today that by decision of the Athens Police Directorate, is prohibited the holding of a meeting which has been announced by members of the World Confederation of Pan-Macedonian Unions “Public of Macedonians”, for tomorrow Monday (17/6) at 4:30 p.m., outside the Athens Conservatory, where the International Conference on “Peace” will take place and Sustainable Development” co-organized by the “Alexis Tsipras Institute” and the “Zoran Zaev Foundation”, on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the Prespa Agreement.
In addition, it is also prohibited “every related public outdoor gathering, from 06:00′ on 17-6-2024 until 06:00′ on 19-6-2024 in the area surrounded by Herodos Attikou-L. Vas .Konstattdinou (including the Panathinaikos Stadium) and L. Vas. Sofia”.
As pointed out in the Police statement: “the above ban is imposed, as it poses a serious risk to public safety, while there is a serious threat of disruption of the socio-economic life in the specific area, the traffic of vehicles and pedestrians, the operation of the infrastructure and communal facilities of the point its implementation”.
