Apostolos Lytras voluntarily presented himself at the Pallini police station on Wednesday afternoon – An arrest warrant had previously been issued by the judicial authorities – Information about the auction of the lawyer’s property in Chalandri
The developments in the case of Apostolos Lytras are fast-paced with the judicial authorities issuing an arrest warrant and him subsequently appearing voluntarily on Wednesday afternoon at the Pallini police station, at the same time that, according to what has become known, on June 26th he is scheduled to auction a maisonette in Chalandri and a parking space, which belong to him.
“I have made a mistake, I will pay for my mistake” he repeated in his statements outside the Pallini police station.
“I’ve made a mistake, I’ll pay for my mistake but I think now that at some point we’re going overboard. It is a given that I am guilty, I wish I could go back in time, no similar incident has ever happened before, she says so herself. All I have to say is that there are also three children. I don’t expect journalists because I know this game very well to respect them. At least my own people who will listen to me. It’s not a family responsibility, it’s mine,” said Apostolos Lytras.
The restraining order that had been imposed on him, when he apologized for the brutal beating of the wife of Sofia Polyzogopoulos, they no longer exist, they have been replaced with a temporary hold.
Apostolos Lytras is expected to present himself on Thursday morning in Evelpidon, to the public prosecutor for execution of sentences and then be remanded in custody and charged.
The replacement of restrictive conditions with temporary detention requested by the victim of the beating through her lawyer Themis Sofou by the investigator, was accepted as on Tuesday night there was an episodic visit by relatives and an associate of Apostolos Lytras to the house where he lives and threats against his wife.
“I immediately hit the police-issued panic button. I opened the interior door of the living room and asked them to leave because I am not well and to respect my condition and leave only the child. The ex-wife was yelling “we’re going to go in and get Apostolis’ stuff.” And the partner – lawyer started swearing in a threatening style and expressions. I was very shaken and fainted,” said Sofia Polyzogopoulou about last night’s episodes.
The police guard who was at the house described the dialogue between the two women when they came face to face: “Sofia said to the older lady, ‘why are you taking his side when you’ve had it too,'” while she was in shock. He told me he wanted to sue them and after a while he collapsed from the charge. I picked her up in my arms and carried her inside the yard and offered her some water.”
It is noted that after his apology for the severe abuse of his wife, the investigator and prosecutor had imposed restrictive conditions on Apostolos Lytras and had released him. The restrictive terms which were violated for this reason as well replaced by pre-trial detention, the mandatory relocation from their shared home in Gerakas, a ban on approaching or threatening the victim in any way and an obligation to attend a special treatment program to prevent him from repeating his violent behavior.
But these conditions, which had caused the intervention of the leadership of the judiciary (president and prosecutor of the Supreme Court to control the investigator and the prosecutor) were violated before even 48 hours had passed as the ex-wife of the perpetrator with a lawyer from his office and a relative moved at his home in Gerakas and without the consent of Sofia Polyzogopoulos who lives there severely injured, they demanded the clothes and money that Apostolos Lytras had in a threatening manner.
Also, in violation of the restrictive conditions, he sent a message to his victim-spouse and included her in a viber group without her consent in order to threaten, as she claims, to force her to give money that he claims he had in his house.
After these developments Sofia Polyzogopoulou activated the panic buttonfiled a lawsuit against Lytras, his ex-wife and a lawyer and the autoforo procedures were activated.
The ex-wife Lytra came to the prosecutor’s office authorities accused for menacing and breach of domestic peace he was referred to Autoforos and set to stand trial on June 27. However, Apostolos Lytras remained missing and was not arrested by the Autoforos procedure until the warrant for his arrest and temporary detention was issued.
It should be noted that, in addition to the intervention of the leadership of the Supreme Court to control the interrogator and prosecutor who released him, the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court with a second order has asked her the immediate acceleration of the relevant procedures in order for this case to reach the audience soon.
