For the second year in a row, because of the pandemic, Carnival in São Paulo will not take place as usual. Now, in 2022, the parades of the São Paulo samba schools have been postponed, the blocks have adapted to Covid with closed parties and delivery and streaming appear as options for those who want to have a revelry safely, indoors.
But, even with the coronavirus, there are those who prefer to take to the streets. The carnival schedule of some bars becomes, then, an option for people who want to party away from home – although doctors say that it is not yet time to promote crowds.
The Monday (28th) and Tuesday (1st) of Carnival promise to be popular in the bars, which will have their environments filled with samba circles, pagode shows and carnival marches.
See, below, five São Paulo addresses with Carnival programming. If you’re leaving the house, wear a mask.
