Heatwave: High temperatures until Sunday – Temperatures for each day

Very high temperatures mainly on the mainland will prevail until Sunday according to the EMY forecast.

b. In the Ionian Islands, the Eastern Aegean Islands, the Dodecanese and southern Crete, 37 to 40 degrees Celsius.
c. In the rest of the island country, 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.
d. In Attica and the prefecture of Thessaloniki, 38 to 39 degrees Celsius.

In the midday and afternoon hours, temporary clouds will develop in the western and northern continental areas and there will be local rain and isolated storms in the northern mountains.
Winds will blow from north directions 4 to 6 and in the Aegean locally 7 Beaufort.

Saturday

In the midday and afternoon hours, temporary clouds will develop in the continental areas and there will be local rain and sporadic storms in the north (mainly in central and eastern Macedonia).
Winds will blow from north directions 3 to 5 and locally in the Aegean 6 Beaufort.

The temperature will not change appreciably and will reach:
a. In the northern continental areas 37 to 39 degrees and in the rest of the continental areas 40 and locally in the western continental areas 41 degrees Celsius.
b. In the Ionian islands, the islands of the Eastern Aegean, the Dodecanese and southern Crete, 38 to 40 degrees Celsius.
c. In the rest of the island country, 34 to 36 degrees Celsius.
d. In Attica 39 and possibly 40 degrees and in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki 38 to 39 degrees Celsius.

In the midday and afternoon hours, temporary clouds will develop in the continental areas and in the north there will be local rain and in the mountains of eastern Macedonia and Thrace, isolated storms will be possible.

The winds will blow from northerly directions 3 to 5 and in the southeast Aegean local 6 Beaufort with gradual weakening.
The temperature will be maintained at high levels and in the mainland it will have a maximum value of 37 to 39 and locally 40 degrees Celsius.
