In Komotini, the monastery of Panagia Faneromeni celebrates tomorrow – near Aigiros – and the pilgrims have already started walking 15 kilometers from the city to pay their respects to the Monastery and the Miraculous Icon of the Virgin Mary.

The icon is said to have been spotted by an Ottoman landowner who lived in the area of ​​Ambrosia (a nearby settlement) by seeing a light.

The landowner handed it over to the then Metropolitan and he decided to initially place it in the Church of Komotini.

But She “returned” in a miraculous way to Her original location. So, it was decided at this crossroads between three different settlements to erect the Monastery.

Many churches, chapels and holy monasteries throughout the country are celebrating the nine days of the Virgin Mary tomorrow with special splendor and splendor.
