The policeman, who served for more than ten years at the Rafina Police Department, was found dead at noon at the Rafina Crossroads.
According to information from irafina.gr, the incident occurred at noon on Tuesday, behind KETHEA after the Rafina Health Center.
The policeman was being searched by his colleagues from the police department and the security department of Rafina, as well as men from DIAS and the civil protection of Rafina Pikermiou.
After searches of about three hours, in Neo Voutza and also in the Crossroads of Rafina, the body of the policeman was found behind KETHEA
According to some information, the police officer was the father of three minor children and before killing himself he made a video call to his wife who notified the immediate action center which unfortunately did not reach him.
Other information states that his wife had asked him for a divorce, the policeman took her by video call, showed her his gun and killed himself during the call.
All his colleagues at the Rafina police station are in a state of shock, who speak of him as an excellent police officer and human being, and they cannot realize what has happened.
