The original felony charge of aggravated assault with intent was changed to a misdemeanor
Lawyer Apostolos Lytras is released from prison on condition.
Apostolos Lytras will be tried for a misdemeanor and not a felony at the Athens Single-Member Court of Misdemeanors for the brutal beating of his wife by a unanimous decision of the misdemeanor council.
Judges accepted the prosecutor’s motion and changed the original charge of domestic aggravated assault to domestic aggravated assault, which is a misdemeanor, opening the door to prison for him.
Apostolos Lytras will be paroled. Specifically:
- Prohibition of approaching the wife and her house at a distance of less than 100 meters.
- Prohibition of communication directly or indirectly using technical means or through third parties. Only communication on matters concerning the minor child is allowed through lawyers.
- In case of communication with the child, the delivery and collection by the wife or a person authorized by the wife will take place outside the AT of the wife’s residence, while during the delivery and collection the accused will not be able to address the person accompanying the child.
- To participate in a counseling-therapeutic program of the National Solidarity Center.
