Tomorrow, Monday, September 16, the Digital Tutoring, which has been characterized by the Ministry of Education as “the great innovation” of this school year, will have its official premiere for the students of the 3rd Lyceum.
A “tool for reducing inequalities”, as the Minister of Education, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, recently characterized it in his television appearance, the Digital Tutoring is aimed at all students from the 5th grade to the 3rd high school.
On the platform digitalschool.gov.grthe approximately 120,000 students of the 3rd Lyceum can register and have free access to live lectures during the evening hours.
From the point of view of the government and the Ministry of Education, special emphasis has been placed on the implementation of the Digital School, which is part of the general plan for the Digital School, presented last May by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education himself, with the aim of strengthening the educational process in all classes of the school.
According to information from APE-MPE, it is possible that there will soon be a more detailed presentation of the Digital Training Center by the political leadership of the ministry.
Every applicant for admission to Higher Education through the National Examinations will have free access to the Digital Tutoring, thus having the opportunity to watch, during the afternoon hours, live, lectures for all the material in the courses being examined, including special courses, such as linear and architectural design, German and French.
In total, 98 teachers will provide students with personalized support during remedial teaching in the 45 subjects that are tested nationwide in June in General and Vocational High Schools. Also, the teaching will concern 10 Special Education courses for the Unified Special Vocational High Schools and High Schools.
Students will have the opportunity to participate interactively during the lessons, while they will also have the opportunity to follow the entire curriculum in electronic format.
In the Digital Tutorial there will be educational material for all grades from 5th Primary to 3rd High School.
Already, according to a relevant update from the Ministry of Education, the material from the Modern Greek Language and Mathematics courses for all classes of the High School is available in the Digital Tuition Center, while by the end of 2025, 2,500 comprehensible and digitized videos will have been posted for a total of 49 courses from the 5th grade up to the 3rd high school.
