The fire was extinguished and the operation of the refineries continues with reduced capacity, according to its latest announcement Motor Oil regarding the fire that broke out yesterday afternoon at the refineries in Agioi Theodorou.

The announcement states:

“The fire that occurred yesterday afternoon, September 17, in the southern part of the Motor Oil refineries in Agioi Theodorou extinguished.

Refineries continue to operate with reduced capacity.

During the fire, 3 employees of a cooperating contractor company were slightly injured. All three are in good health.

They were caused by the event logistical failuresfor which the company is fully insured – both for the infrastructure and for the operational loss of profits, as a result of any business interruption.

From the incident there is no danger for the near and wider area.

We thank those who contributed to the quick extinguishing and the people of the Fire Department. We especially thank our people in the refineries for their contribution.”
