The news of the death of the businessman Christos Kon spread sadness in the society of Kalamata and in the business world. Papadimitriou, at the age of only 44, after a brave battle for his health.
Christos Papadimitriou took over the reins of the well-known company in the field of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, mustard and other foods “Kalamata Papadimitriou” in 2004, as the third generation of Papadimitriou.
During the years he was at the helm of the company, he made its products well-known abroad and left his mark with the innovations he had introduced.
Under the guidance of the young entrepreneur, new lines of products based on balsamic vinegar were developed, such as balsamic creams and Mediterranean mustards, making use of local ingredients such as Messinian fruits, figs and pomegranates.
In 2013, the company joined the international Endeavor network, as the first Greek food company, while a year later it became a member of the GREECE-OURS initiative.
According to local Kalamata media, Christos Papadimitriou was married to Sevasti Skoulika and together they had two children, Konstantinos and Nikolas.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 11 am. in the temple of Ypapanti in Kalamata.
