The police officers of the Traffic Accident Control and Prevention Group of the Thessaloniki Traffic Directorate carried out checks on a total of 443 cars
A special raid was carried out on Saturday night until the early hours of Sunday morning, by its police officers Traffic Accident Control and Prevention Group of the Thessaloniki Traffic Directoratein various areas of the city to combat impromptu competitions – demonstration of skill.
According to thestival.gr, a total of 443 I..X.E. cars and confirmed (110) violations, of which:
Two (2) for speed competition,
Three (3) for reckless driving,
One (1) for driving to demonstrate competence,
Nineteen (19) for revocation of driver’s license,
Twenty-eight (28) for causing noise from exhausts,
Two (2) for making noise from music,
One (1) for red light violation,
Three (3) for lights violation,
Eight (8) for tinted windows,
Seven (7) for no visible license plate,
One (1) for deprivation of mirrors,
Six (6) for deprivation of a fire extinguisher-pharmacy,
Two (2) for not wearing a seat belt,
Four (4) for uninsured vehicle and
Twenty-three (23) other violations
In addition, forty (40) immobilizations were carried out, while fifteen (15) driving licenses were taken away, as well as the traffic data (licence and number plate) of 17 vehicles.
The prescribed administrative penalties were imposed on the offending drivers, while similar actions will continue unabated.
