The pathologist who was fined 800,000 euros for prescribing thousands of drugs in one month, using his mother’s AMKA, denies the accusations.

As he claims they hacked their passwords into the system.

He even mentions that his mother has been dead since 2014 and as you know when someone goes to prescribe it is impossible to write to a dead person.

He adds that he has received threats to his life and that he knows the ring.

Finally, he admits that it is related to an earlier case of prescribing a psychotropic drug to a user who was found dead, but maintains that the death was not caused by the drug but by intravenous heroin.

He underlines in particular that regarding this specific case, he was acquitted in court.

Speaking to SKAI, shortly before the relevant press conference of the ministry, Mr. Georgiadis underlined that so far more than 100 doctors have been identified and they have already sent the first notes for apologies and evidence to the financial prosecutor, while he pointed out that criminal sanctions will be imposed.

“Overprescriptions increase the pharmaceutical expenditure for EOPYY by at least 50 million euros”, said Mr. Georgiadis.

In particular, Mr. Georgiadis revealed 10 shocking cases of doctors, who prescribed without… limit.

He also said that 100 doctors in the first months of 2024 prescribed 250-422 drugs per patient.
