The journalist died today at the age of 64 Konstantinos Manimanakis.
According to her statement ESIEA“Konstaninos Manimanakis was born in Piraeus, in 1960. He started working as a journalist at the age of 19, as a trainee in the Piraeus reportage and, later, as a material assistant. In 1981, he started working at “Ethnos” and from 1986 at “Proti”. He also worked at the newspapers “Nea Kriti”, “Avgi”, “Apogeumatini”, “Ta Nea” and “Editors’ Newspaper”.
A meek and approachable person, he demonstrated camaraderie and altruism throughout his career. Loyal to the principles of journalistic ethics, he worked ethically and distinguished himself for his impeccable professional conduct.
The Board of Directors bids an emotional farewell to the colleague and expresses its condolences to his family, his wife Konstantina and his children Polydoros and Kynthia, his friends and relatives.
The funeral service for Konstantinos Manimanakis will be sung, tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5, at 12 pm, in the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos Filopappos. His funeral will be held in his hometown, in Drapania, Chania, Crete.”
