With an increase of 19%, tourist traffic in Rhodes “closed” in October in terms of tourist arrivals at the island’s airport, while the total traffic of the seven months also moved to high levels and also recorded an increase of the order of 14%.

The figures were announced a little while ago by the regional governor of the South Aegean, Giorgos Hatzimarkos, on social media, stating among other things: “The amazing tourism performance of Rhodes holds the whole of the South Aegean high. Rhodes, in October ’24 saw a 19% increase compared to October ’23. +19%, is a rare percentage for mature tourist destinations and proves a lot. Many, positive and optimistic that allow you to build creatively”.

“From April to October ’24 Rhodes broke the barrier of 3.0 million international air passengers and recorded a 14% increase over its previous record in the same period. The tourist season is in progress and every day we win in November is a step gained in the fight for extension”, added Mr. Hatzimarkos.
