The fifth person arrested is the 26-year-old man involved in the explosion on Arkadias Street, as his fingerprint was found inside the bag containing a pistol and a magazine, which were found inside the apartment after the explosion.
A fingerprint of the 31-year-old old acquaintance of the authorities was found in the same bag. ELAS officers claim that the 26-year-old and 31-year-old had contacts in the past.
On October 29, 2020the 26-year-old was among the 8 defendants of the unprecedented sexual harassment of the rector of ASOE, Dimitris Burandonis, who had also placed a sign on his neck “Solidarity in the occupations”, a case that will be heard tomorrow. In July 2021, he was arrested with another person for stealing clothing from a cosmetics store in Omonia.
Anti-terrorist officers are looking for the identity of at least two more, who appear to belong to the operational core of the same group, as revealed by the declassification of mobile phones found on Arkadias Street.
