Unprecedented images unfolded yesterday in the Municipal Council of Evia.

In particular, the situation “escaped” in the Municipality of Dirfyon Messapia between the mayor and councilor Fotini Makris with unimaginable tension and characterizations such as “hamatypeio” and “stupid” being unleashed with the rest of the members of the Municipal Council, in an effort to try to lower the tone .

“I apologize to everyone and especially to the parents and the children for my expression “mischief” which, however, was not addressed to the person of Mrs. Makri but to the situation that prevailed at that time in the Municipal Council”, he said in a statement on the sidelines of the commotion caused by Giorgos Psathas, Mayor of Dirfyon Messapia.

“My outburst came from the characterization of Mrs. Fotini Thoma Makris towards my person (stupid), and I will not again allow such expressions towards my person and the institution of the Mayor”, he added.

On the part of Mrs. Thoma Makri, she described in her own statement that yesterday, Wednesday, November 27, at the meeting of the Municipal Council of Dirfyon Messapia and while she expressed her strong disappointment at the inaction of the municipal authority, she received insults from the mayor of Dirfyon Messapion, Mr. Psatha, who, according to her, not withstanding her strong criticism of the overall degradation of the school units, called her a “lost printing house”.

“I will continue to fight for the schools that I have served voluntarily for the last decade through the parent and guardian associations and I will demand with all the power of the voice that the world has given me, the fair requests for a better school,” he emphasized.

The topic that was discussed was the proposal of the director of Evia secondary school for the merger of Kathenon and Stenis High Schools, which we unanimously expressed our opposition to.

“Because recently there have been downgrades in schools, I asked the mayor, Mr. He is asking to inform me about the meeting he called with the deputy minister and to discuss in full the issue of mergers and downgrades of the schools of our Municipality”, he describes, explaining how he criticized him for not responding to the requests of the school units, for maintenance and cleaning materials, stationery and daily needs of the units.

“When a municipality downgrades its schools, everything else it says about mergers is just a political tactic”, she estimated and added that she was deeply saddened that before the meeting, the Municipality had organized an event “Against the Abuse of Women” when its head municipal authority, as he characteristically noted, blackmails, curses and silences a woman.

“A woman, a mother, a wife…I would like her to give me a Public Apology for the drag before I take all the legal actions,” he concluded.
