The hearing on the case of her murder has begun before the MOD 23-year-old Fay Bakoiorgouwhose body was found in October 2021, on a sidewalk, a short distance from the house where she lived, with her mother and sister as well as the landlady of the house where the three women lived being accused for the tragic end of the victim .

The case file describes the life of martyrdom that the 23-year-old lived next to the accused, with the 57-year-old housewife, considered the protagonist of the drama, beating and forcing the victim into prostitution and begging, with the complete tolerance and cover-up of the other two women. The victim’s mother and sister, according to the affidavit, not only did not prevent the savage beatings and exploitation of Faye, but assisted in the murder. The mother psychologically strengthened the main accused in what she did to the detriment of her daughter, while the second “covered up” what was being done to the detriment of her sister.

The three defendants, temporarily detained for the case, face on a case-by-case basis the offenses of premeditated homicide, complicity in premeditated homicide, professional human trafficking, felony abortion, dangerous bodily harm to a vulnerable person, simple serial bodily harm and complicity in human trafficking. The crime of abortion concerns the housewife, as the 23-year-old was pregnant with her fourth child before her murder.

Opposite the three women is the father, who appears in support of the prosecution and today was the first to take the witness stand.

After three interruptions of the trial, Nikos Bakoiorgos, who a little earlier heard his ex-wife, his daughter and the main defendant deny the accusations, described in court what his eldest daughter experienced at the hands of the three women. “They threw my child away like a dog,” said the witness, referring both to the handling of the case by the Police and to the way Faye was found dead, wrapped in a blanket next to a bin a few meters from the house where the accused lived . “Faye was four months pregnantsaid the witness, who emphasized that he was informed of the discovery of the pile a month later. “I was informed on November 11, 2021 that my daughter was found dead on October 8, 2021 in the morning. It was originally found by two women. My daughter was found outside a parking lot wrapped in a blanket and a diaper bag over her head. They notified a man to go there. He lifted the blanket with a stick and called the police. After the sixth call, a police car went there. Shame! Shame! And they are burying my child of “unknown facts”! Two police stations! They only searched the marked ones. The police are a zero. They threw my child away like a dog…»

President: I understand that the situation is unpleasant. You have to be cool. Since it was found since October, why was it identified so late, a month later?

Witness: I don’t know… nobody called me. All I found out is on November 11th. They informed us that they had already buried her.

The witness has said he was assisted by a private investigator and his lawyer who worked without pay to uncover the crime. “If we didn’t go to the media, Faye would have been passed off as a ‘dead drug addict’,” he testified. As he said “Until Easter when I last saw her, Faye was in good health. I don’t know what the ex says, (mother of the victim) but the child was healthy. He was not suffering from anything, nor was he a drug addict».

The defense of the main accused reacted when the witness referred to homicide with the defense counsel noting that “Pulmonary edema says the medical examiner, not homicide. Let’s see our share in death, but that’s it. We will judge by TV gossip?”.

The trial is expected to last several days as more than 30 witnesses will testify in court.
