A 20-year-old foreigner, a leading member of a criminal organization for drug trafficking and violation of the law, was arrested in the morning hours of Friday (12/13), in the context of an operational action organized and implemented by the Security Department of Agia Varvara with the assistance of the Sub-Directorate for Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Western Attica about weapons.

In the context of investigating information regarding a person who traffics in narcotic substances in the wider area of ​​Western Attica, with a base house in Aigaleo, the above police identified the accused and his criminal activity was certified.

How was he acting?

In particular, as emerged from the investigation, the 20-year-old, at least since November of this year, has been trafficking narcotics, either himself or through third parties, who acted on his behalf and is wanted.

He used a two-wheeled motorcycle for his transportation, while he dealt in drugs throughout the day, as well as home deliveries where he was requested.

In order to make his detection difficult, the 20-year-old used text messages or online applications for his communications, while he had defined “code names” for the quantities traded and his fees.

What did the investigations find?

After a search in his possession as well as in the house he used to store the drugs, the following were found and confiscated:

  • -51- equal weight packages containing -519.1- grams. raw cannabis,
  • the amount of -1,780- euros,
  • -2- scales,
  • multitude of nylon packages,
  • -3- mobile phones,
  • ax,
  • -2- hand flares,
  • slingshot,
  • collapsible metal rod,
  • flare gun,
  • pepper spray,
  • -44- firecrackers,
  • -3- folding knives,
  • a number of gunpowder pellets and -28- metal pellets,
  • motorcycle.

It is noted that the 20-year-old has previously concerned the authorities for similar offences.

The arrested person was taken to the competent Prosecutor.
