Against the 33-year-old, the Prosecutor of Heraklion brought criminal charges for intentional homicide, while he took a deadline to apologize on Friday
Her December 1st the 33-year-old Frenchman tried to run over an unknown lady in the Great Fields of Chania, while driving the same car with which he “harvested” the unfortunate Rania, in Anopoli Hersonissos, at noon on the 18th of the same month, reports cretalive.gr.
He even allegedly got out of the car and slapped the woman. And it didn’t end there: he hit and broke the legs of a resident of the area who saw the scene with the woman and came out to ask him to speak.

The man’s answer did not please the Frenchman, who lashed out at him as he crashed his car into a bin that the man had placed in front of him to block the 33-year-old’s progress. The result was to hit him and injure his legs. He had to go to the hospital, while a complaint was filed with the competent Chania Police Department. In fact, the sufferer managed to retain the license plate numbers, which are identified with the very expensive car of death.
As we wrote, against the 33-year-old, the Prosecutor’s Office of Heraklion brought criminal charges for intentional homicide, while he was given a deadline to apologize on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the 3rd Prosecutor’s Office of Heraklion.
Also, a complaint was filed by the brother of the unfortunate Rania, “in order to increase the criminal responsibilities of all those who participated in this fatal result brought about by this particular defendant”, as noted by the family’s advocate Giorgos Kokosalis.
At the same time, the Director of the Psychiatric Clinic of the Rethymno Hospital, Antonis Christonakis, advanced the claim that if he had been fully informed about the history of the 33-year-old Frenchman, it might have been decided to hospitalize him for further monitoring.
Mr. Christonakis, who was the one who examined the 33-year-old on December 12, 2024, when he was transferred to the Rethymno hospital with a prosecutor’s order for an examination, spoke to ERT Chania and clarified that there was not the slightest indication that this man suffers from any mental disorder, however he had ignorance of his former life.
The Frenchman had been arrested six times in one year
As cretapost reports, the 33-year-old has been arrested six times in the past year. Several lawsuits have been filed against him, mainly related to domestic violence, insults, threats, while in one case he had also attacked a police officer.
- Him December 2023 in the Neapolis area, he cursed a policeman during a check and was arrested while the authorities found an ax in his car, which they confiscated.
- On early April 2024 his partner, originally from Bulgaria, went to the Rethymnon police station and filed a complaint against the 33-year-old as he cursed her, threatened her and then stole her bag containing her mobile phone, money and various personal documents.
- Sta within the same month and again in Rethymno, his partner sued again for insulting and threatening both her and a Greek.
- Him September of 2024 in Lasithi, the 33-year-old had a fight with a 60-year-old while he did not hesitate to throw stones at the table he was sitting on, causing damage. He then hit him on the head and when the policeman arrived to arrest him he attacked and beat him.
- On November 22, 2024 his partner reported to the authorities that he called her and started threatening her, so she, fearing for her life, reported him.
- On November 29, 2024 he was arrested for the sixth time as his partner reported to the authorities that he has been stalking and obsessing over her. The police arrested him and then the prosecutor referred him for a psychiatric opinion.
