Mr. Agorastos spoke of an unprovoked attack thanking the people who “intervened and prevented more unpleasant consequences”
The former regional governor of Thessaly referred to the attack that took place last Wednesday, December 18 against his person by relatives of the victims of Tempe, specifically the Plakias family, during today’s meeting of the regional council.
He spoke of an unprovoked attack and thanked the people who “intervened and prevented more unpleasant consequences”.
As he said, “although I understand people’s pain, I don’t understand who gives them the right to behave and render justice as they perceive it and not face the consequences of their actions. Self-righteousness is reprehensible.”
Finally, he declared “convinced that the truth will be revealed as befits a state of law” clarifying that “he bears no responsibility for the train accident”.
For her part, the president of the Regional Council, Mr. Chrysa Tsaganou explained that there has never been information about citizens intending to intervene in the council. It should be noted that Mr. Nikos Plakias was present for his question about the site of the Tempe accident. Also, Ms. Tsaganou underlined that the incident happened outside the regional council room, but also that the faction of the Regional Authority proposes issuing a resolution condemning the attack on Mr. Buyer.
