The project for the complete digital modernization of its audit work is on track for implementation National Transparency Authority. In particular, it is about the supply or development of an Integrated Information System (ISIS) and tool artificial intelligence which is implemented by the Information Society (Information Society) and aims to digitally support the work of the Authority’s Inspectors – Auditors.
As the managing director of KtP states to APE-MBE, “artificial intelligence (AI) can play a decisive role in strengthening the audit work of the National Transparency Authority (NTA), through the application of advanced techniques and tools that allow more effective detection and prevention of corruption and mismanagement phenomena.

The application of modern advanced methodology in the daily operation of the National Transparency Authority can transform the field of fighting corruption and improving public administration, offering more reliable, faster and more accurate audits.

Specifically, the operational procedures of the Inspections and Controls Unit that will be covered by the operation of the information system are as follows:
1. Management and evaluation of complaints.
2. Controls Management.
3. Asset Checks.
4. Billing process.
5. Supervision of the implementation of proposals and recommendations and the search for disciplinary responsibilities.
6. Audit Project Monitoring.
7. Management of Prosecutor’s orders.
8. Monitoring Disciplinary Procedure and exercise of Remedies.
9. Conduct of Sworn Administrative Examination.
The expected benefits of the project
• The universal treatment of the daily operational needs of the auditing bodies of the Authority through a modern, integrated digital environment, with a direct positive effect on the effectiveness and efficiency of the Authority’s Inspectors – Auditors.
• The minimization of the circulation of printed material, both in the internal environment between the organic units, and in the external environment, e.g. informing other public services, informing complainants about the stage at which their submitted complaint is, etc.
• The simplification of the existing administrative procedures of the audit function of the EAD and subsequently their digitization.
• The significant acceleration in the execution and completion of the inspections and audits carried out by the EAD and the optimal response in time and in the quality of the produced audit work towards the external environment.
• The automation of tasks, the standardization and production of the required supporting and final documents through the OPS, at all stages of the audit process, in accordance with the current institutional and regulatory framework.
• Improving the search, sending and receiving of information and data during inspections and audits, through online interoperability services. Interoperability with information systems and applications of public sector entities will primarily be carried out through the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat of Public Administration Information Systems, both for existing and new ones, according to the needs and responsibilities of the organizational units of Inspections & Controls Unit (hereinafter MEE).
• The secure management and storage of personal data and increasing the level of security using encryption rules, graded and controlled access following traceability rules and digital signatures.
• The integration and adoption of modern methodological tools, such as e.g. the audit planning methodology based on risk analysis (RBAP), to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire audit work of the Authority.
• The gathering and utilization of information with appropriate processing to display useful results (indicators, statistical results, distributions, etc.) that help to monitor actions, to capture the performance of organizational units, to monitor administrative work, to make decisions, to apply best practices practices, etc.
• The improvement of the day-to-day operation of the body internally and its response to the needs of society and citizens
