The 23-year-old Panagiotis, who had been missing since yesterday afternoon, was found alive and well, after many hours of searching. Seli Imathias.

The skier was found by firefighters at the “Prionia” location where there were shelters. In fact, it was the last place that was planned to be investigated.

The 23-year-old is in good health as he was experienced, had taken survival lessons and was thought to be sure to take care of himself.

As he told and in “Live You” Christos Hatzimisis, footprints had previously been identified and it was being examined if they belonged to him.

The operation set up to locate him was large, as 27 firefighters, forces of the 2nd and 7th EMAK, a specially trained dog, volunteers, while thermal cameras and drones were deployed. We had a happy ending. “A while ago we were informed that the skier was found by 4 firefighters at the outpost of the forest cooperative in the area, he is in good health,” said a representative of the Fire Department.

As he reported on Tuesday morning to Mrs. Marianna, the aunt of the 23-year-old missing person, who herself participates in the search for identification, the relatives of the young Panagiotis were notified on Monday afternoon of his disappearance, with his brother seeing him for the last time at 14:08.

“From then on they let him go, because he wanted to go down a track. The children went downstairs, it wasn’t until 4 o’clock. He was experienced, and yesterday he was down there, he really likes skiing. The children went to the car, waited for him inside, saw that he was not coming, got out of the car and came here to the ski resort to ask for help. Around 5 o’clock the investigations started, they didn’t stop all night long”, he said characteristically.

When asked if she contacted the cell phone at all, she replied that the cell phone last signaled at 2:38 p.m. “We tried to contact, there was no communication. We also tried to find the location of the mobile phone, but we couldn’t. Today we were told that a helicopter will take off. From what you can see, drones, thermal cameras have been up since yesterday.” At the same time, he informed that Panagiotis was not wearing a helmet, but he had bars, water and clothes in his bag. “Because he was a paratrooper, we believe he could defend himself in a difficult situation,” he noted.

It is recalled that the young skier had gone up on the day of the Lights in Selli with his company and at some point it seems that he left to explore the slopes of the ski resort. His friends noticed his absence in the afternoon, when the ski resort was closed, so they contacted the center managers and the authorities were informed.
