In gang dislocation whose members were active in the trafficking heroin The Drug Enforcement Directorate, the Directorate of Organized Crime (AIOE), proceeded in the West Attica region.
Specifically, in a large police operation held yesterday in West Attica, they were arrested 17 members of the organizationAmong them are the leadership members, while the case file against them includes 12 more people.
The operation was attended by police officers from the IAEA Intelligence and Special Actions, the Special Counter -Terrorist Unit (EKAM), as well as a police dog.
According to ELAS, it was preceded by an appropriate use of information, from the further analysis of which, as well as after police actions, verification – intersection of data and the creation of profile profiles, was certified.
In particular, as stated in the announcement, it was revealed that it was a criminal organization with 6 subgroups, which had a hierarchical structure and a professional infrastructure suitable for the various stages of heroin supply and concealment at inaccessible points, as well as to take action measures. The trafficking of drugs, to obtain illegal income, estimated at at least 82,000 euros.
At the same time, the role of each member of the organization was also found:
- Subordinates, as well as other members, among other things, were responsible for supervising and ensuring the process of selling drugs to users,
- other members were responsible for the sale of drugs by order of the above, while
- Other members of the organization stored the drugs and transported them from storage and hiding places to the trafficking areas.
In surveys conducted in a wooded area with dense vegetation, 1,475 grams of heroin, as well as wrapping, traces of heroin were found and seized, which were thoroughly hidden in a tree trunk covered with dry grass and soil.
In addition, they found and seized, 7 IXE Cars, image recorder, TV, 10 cameras, precision scales, 12 mobile phones, and 6,531 euros.
ELAS notes that members of the organization have also been in the past for violations of drug laws, thefts, and other offenses.
The detainees were taken to the competent prosecutor.
