“Cicnop Thursday” is celebrated 11 days before Clean Monday and we eat meat in the light of the Great Fasting of Lent

The word “Ciknop Thursday” comes from the word “chicna” (the smell of roasted meat) and from the word “Thursday” and is celebrated 11 days before Clean Monday.
It is a day of preparation for the Great fasting of Lent before Easter, A preparation that lies in trying to experience the upcoming days of the Great Great.
Cicnop Thursday is in the 2nd week of the ecclesiastically called Triodion, which consists of three weeks before we enter the Great Forty, namely Fasting before Easter:
- The 1st week of adhesion or adopter or even absolute,
- The 2nd week of meat or meat -eating,
- The 3rd week of a cheese or cheese that no longer eats meat but we only eat dairy products
During the first week of the Triodion, that is, the usual fasting on Wednesday and Friday, while in the second week of “Apocalypse” was the fasting, and thus Ciknop Thursday is of particular importance and was considered a festive day. It comes after fasting and the next day we have fasting, that is, preparation for the coming.
