After many years, 21 for precision, the Olympic Village Swimming Pool was back in operation! A venue that had been abandoned after 2004, when the athletes and athletes of the Olympic and Paralympic Games were training during the Olympic Games in Athens.

The inauguration of the pool was made by the Deputy Minister of Education, Religions and Sports, Yiannis Broutsis and the Committee of Administration of the National Sports – Training Center of Olympic Village, as well as the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Particular color was given by the participation of children from two local elementary schools (26th and 29th), as well as the AEK -Korasidi Children’s Departments and NO Vouliagmeni Youth, who performed artistic choreographies.

The reconstruction of the pool cost around € 600,000 as part of Lamda Development’s reciprocal projects for Agios Kosmas facilities. These included the outer shell of the building, the electromechanical installations and the swimming pool, while the reconstruction has been completed since June 2024.

In the coming weeks, the cover for the thermal prophylaxis of the remodeled pool will be placed, and the expansion of the changing rooms will be completed by the end of spring.

The inauguration of the inauguration of the renovation were awarded the Olympians and Paralympics of the Fine Track in 2004, who were given the collectible currency for the 20th anniversary of the Athens Games.
