Sakhawat Ali, a guard and a photography lover from the remote village of Hushe, recorded the video on March 13.

For two weeks he was watching their footsteps in the snow in Karakoram National Park north of Pakistan.

Speaking about his unprecedented experience, CNN said that the four snow leopards were a mother and her three youngsters.

Watch the video:

In the village we are used to seeing leopards, but none of the elders I talked to have never seen four snow leopardsi, “he said.

He first identified the mother and then began to observe the footsteps. Later he “stood lucky” watching the animals together while observing a cliff, with binoculars, from the roof of his home. He pulled them out with his engine and filmed them from a distance of 200 meters.

Snow leophes are currently included as “vulnerable” in the red list of endangered species of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

The locals call them as ‘Ghosts of the Mountains’as they are easily camouflaged in their natural environment.
