Her guilt The prosecutor of the headquarters of the Piraeus Circuit Court of Appeal requested the accused of intentional homicide.

Developing her proposal, the prosecutor described the 19 -year -old man as a provocatively brave and incomprehensible, who has depreciated life itself.

‘Is proven with every certainty that the defendant hit him George Liggeridis with nautical orange color flare. When she launched her he was alone. (…) The defendant has rights yes, even to silence. And Liggerides had the right to live. And this was violently deprived of him. He killed him with a weapon that cost 30 euros. He launched it in a straight shot. Other police officers, as well as citizens, were not hit by pure luck. The accused is provocatively incomprehensible and provocatively brazen. He is accused of homicide and depreciates the court in keeping the right of silence in contradiction with regard to his pre -trial testimonies. His late claims that many flares were thrown at the same time are neglected. All police officers told us that the flares were falling in waves. His provocative and incomprehensible attitude comes from the first moment of his arrest, from making before the episodes of munitions in G. Karaiskakis (…). The tactic that followed was: I first confess, then I recall and then silence. His provocative witchcraft is shown by his phones and conversations. He even arranged his criminal treatment and prison. (…) The accused was not the random sports fan as he tried to appear here. He made a conscious decision to find himself in the incidents and attack the police. He belongs to organized Olympiacos fans, he knew how to use the flare, and how to aim to kill people. He attacked the police officer Liggeridis with hatred and aiming to hurt any police officer immediately. He is a cruel man with no feelings for whom a cop’s life has no value. “

The prosecutor referring to the incidents of that day as emerged from the procedure said:

“About 200 organized fans of Olympiacos had coordinated to kill a police officer and were provided with a multitude of improvised mechanisms. Among these followers was the defendant, as he himself told us here, on the first day, as he accepted his participation in the episodes. After all, this is also evident from the transcribed talks even before the attack on the police officers, as he built and transferred to Melina Mercouri.

In particular, before the attack, a number of improvised explosive mechanisms, Molotov cocktails, etc. to throw them at police officers, made a number of “George Karaiskakis” in a warehouse. They loaded the munitions into four cars between them and a car driven by the accused and went to the Melina Mercouri stadium. Note that there is no camera in “G. Karaiskaki ‘to record preparations, but cameras have recorded the wheelchair on his way to “Melina Mercouri”.

The prosecutor cited telephone conversations that the defendant had with his brother, while referring to an organized plan to attack police officers.

“The defendant knew about planning the attacks, he was involved in him. When the team arrived in the indoor gym “Melina Mercouri” they hid the ammunition and entered the pitch and had their faces covered as long as they stayed in it. The defendant sat in the field of organized fans with his brother and his company. Two squadron squads relatively away from the stadium were placed to adhere to the order to be invisible. A third squad remained inside the stadium in the locker room.

During her speech the prosecutor was extensively referred to how the flare hit the police officer

“At a distance of up to 50 meters, the slogan was given to the start of the murderous attack on police. Immediately afterwards, H. threw one of the two nautical orange color flares that passed over the police heads without hurting them. The second flare was given to the defendant with the order to throw her to the police.
At 9:30 the defendant came forward in relation to others and took a body posture that showed that he would throw a flare. He targeted police straight. His shot was straight and at the same time on the ground. The flare was fired at high speed. This type of flare stands out from the rest because it makes a whistle. Leaves tobacco. She needed a little of 1.5 seconds to hit the deceased, as her speed exceeded 130 kilometers. The flare was nowhere to be exterminated and nailed to the leg of police officer Lygheridis. He lit in his leg. (…) Lynggeridis was upright and shouted “Take it out”. (…) His colleagues lay down Liggerid and tried to stop the bleeding and while lying down they were falling molotov. … One of the Molotov cocktails exploded next to Liggeridis and lifted his leg resulting in further deterioration. As soon as the attackers managed to hit, they carried out the joy, while continuing the attacks. As soon as they realized that a police officer had been injured, they began to celebrate with a depreciation of human life. “

The trial will continue with lawyers.
