A decision – a station with clear extensions in the management of the wild fauna was recently taken by the Athens Public Prosecutor’s Office, ordering the removal of a herd of wolves from the Parnitha National Park, according to a report by ihunt.gr. The decision of the competent Public Prosecutor for Animal Protection was taken in the context of protecting public security and the need to maintain its population red – One of the most important and iconic species of Greek fauna.

Scientists and environmental organizations are doubtful whether it is possible to trap and safe free wolf transport, while concern that moving to areas of northern Greece, where the wolf already has a strong presence, may create new problems instead of resolving them.
