Today at noon the last act of drama, in the village of the unfortunate Stefanos – words of consolation by Metropolitan Trikkis
Today At 12:00 noon, in the village of Sotira Trikala, there will be the funeral of the unfortunate 30 -year -old who drowned at Kathissa Beach, Lefkada, where he had gone to celebrate his bachelor party – the next weekend he would be dressed.
The last act of the drama will be played in the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior, where the family, companion and friends will bid farewell to their beloved Stefanos for the last time.
Stefanos leaves behind his parents Kostas and Daphne Kemos, his sister Venia, and his partner Martha, with whom they were to unite with the marriage bonds on June 14th.
The family’s request is, instead of wreaths, the money to give the Parents’ Association of Children with Neoplastic Disease or FLOGA.
Words of consolation by Metropolitan Trikkis Chrysostom for the death of Stefanos
“The departure of a young man from the present world, shortly before the mystery of marriage, causes heavy mourning and human sadness,” Metropolitan Trikkis, Gardiki and Gate Chrysostomos said in a message. “But our Church, even in the pain of separation, continues to raise a reason for hope, to chant the Resurrection, to pray for eternal life,” he continues.
“Stefanos, young at age but mature in love and responsibility, is moving towards eternity.
He leaves the temporary scene of this life, but remains in the memory of his parents, Constantine and Daphne, in the love of his brothers, his grandparents, relatives
and his friends, especially in the heart of his fugitive, Martha.
To his painful parents, his brothers, and his grandparents, I address words of support and consolation.
Your pain is great and the loss you are experiencing human is not described in words. I stand near you with prayer and silent concentration.
The Church becomes a companion in your cross, with the certainty that the Lord knows and assumes every painful heart.
Our Lady of Paramythia, the mother of the appeal and the refuge of the sadness, let you cover with her love and reinforce you with her affection.
I am also referring to Stephanos’ friends,
who were near him at the time of his departure from this world.
Their common bond, coexistence and their love are not lost with death.
They remain alive in their memory as a testimony of life and deep friendship.
The sadness they are experiencing is justified and respected. I pray for God to strengthen them and give them peace to their hearts.
To his fugitive, Martha, I am addressing paternal words of consolation:
“The mystery of life and death is not explained in words, only by faith.
God knows the “why” every cross.
Along with your pain, hold and hope:
That no love is lost that has been sealed with truth and purity. “
“The love of God does not stop death.
Stephen’s memory will always live in everyone’s hearts.
Our prayer is the gift we continue to offer.
God to classify him
“Fotin’s place,
If a latch of the grassy,
In the place of recovery. “
I wholeheartedly hope that the Lord rests the soul of the slave’s slave, to strengthen His relatives and to transform the pain into the expectation of resurrection and eternal life.
With condolences wishes,
+ Trikkis, Gardikiou and Gate Chrysostom. ”
