The first lady, Rosângela Silva, Janja, and Minister Gleisi Hoffmann (Institutional Relations) came out in defense of Environment Minister Marina Silva, after her attacks on the Senate Infrastructure Commission on Tuesday (27).
Marina abandoned the commission after PSDB leader Senator Plínio Valério (AM) claim to want to separate the figure from the woman from the minister’s figure because the first deserved respect and the second, no.
Janja posted a photo next to Marina and said she was outraged by her disrespects in the commission.
“His bravery inspires us and his trajectory prides us immensely. A woman recognized worldwide for her acting on environmental preservation will never bow to a band of misogynists who do not have the decency to face a minister of greatness,” he wrote.
Gleisi classified the behavior of Plínio and the chairman of the Infrastructure Commission, Senator Marcos Rogério (PL-RO), as “inadmissible”.
“Totally offensive and disrespectful to the minister, women and citizen. We express repudiation of the aggressors and total solidarity of the government of President Lula to Minister Marina Silva,” the minister wrote through social networks. Read more (05/27/2025 – 17h11)
