The personal envoy of the Secretary General, Maria Achela Olgin, is in Cyprus, where he will remain until May 31
The contacts of the Cyprus Secretary General Maria Achela Olgin Kuyarar, the UN Secretary -General, Stefan Douzarick, reported in Cyprus during the press briefing at the headquarters of the International Organization, in Cyprus.
“The personal envoy of the Secretary -General, Maria ‘Achela Olgin, is in Cyprus, where he will remain until May 31st. On Saturday he had a meeting with Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides, and yesterday met with Turkish Cypriot leader.
“Mrs Olgin said that in both meetings she heard the leaders’ concerns and examined the initiative group to build a confidence agreed by the parties during the latest meetings in Geneva, which took place in March. The personal envoy reported that they were going to work with the goal.
According to a spokesman for the Secretary -General, Mrs Olgin during her stay in Cyprus will also meet other factors related to the Cyprus issue, and will then have contacts with the guarantor forces, Greece, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
