At noon they were taken to the prosecutor of the Kilkis court of first instance who summoned them criminal prosecution for violations of the Law on Sports and bodily harmwhile referring them to trial before the Three-Member Misdemeanor Court of the city. After the legal postponement they received, the Court decided not to release them and under these circumstances they returned to detention.
According to the case file, one hour after the end of the match, the accused (aged 22 to 42) after approaching the 36-year-old football player with vehicles, attacked him, using physical violence against him. as a result he was transferred to Kilkis General Hospital where he is being treated. The case file also includes a seventh person who remains unarrested, as well as at least two other unknown persons.
Among the detainees is a 29-year-old soldier, who sued the 36-year-old, alleging that he tried to injure him with a knife, an object which, according to a police statement, was found at the scene of the incident.
The reason for what was reported to have happened seems to have been a dispute that occurred during the football match, with “protagonists” the 36-year-old and the 29-year-old.
