The strikes of the Pan -Hellenic Union of Merchant Marine Navy (PENEN) warns in a generalization of the strike throughout the ferry, as long as there is no substantial response from the coastal and government.
After a new assembly held by members of PENEN at the port of Patras, a new 24 -hour strike started on Friday (20/6) at 06.00 and end on Saturday 21/6 at 06.00.
“The deck crew continues the strike on the Adriatic ships by claiming solutions to its fair demands” The PENEN Administration says in a statement.
According to the Maritime Association, the strike was reinforced after today’s strike assembly at the port of Patras, which followed a massive concentration of solidarity of sailors and supporters.
He adds that after today’s strike assembly and after a solidarity gathering in the port of Patras, all the data were examined and after interactive debate, it was unanimously decided by both the administration and the industry.
He also notes that the security personnel will be complied with what is provided by maritime law in the case of strikes.
