The guilty of two doctors at the Larissa General Hospital for the deaths of a 5 -year -old pupil of Kindergarten from Streptococcus in February 2020 was decided by the Three -Member Criminal Court of Larissa yesterday. A private pediatrician, a physician and a medical laboratory technologist at the Larissa General Hospital unanimously was unanimously acquitted on the same case.
The penalty imposed on them was three years in prison with a three -year suspension and the appeal to have inhibited force.
The doctor and his colleague and director of the GNL Pediatric Clinic then, were found accused of a series of omissions that had to do with the timely and proper diagnosis of the child’s disease who was admitted to the hospital without knowing what they really had. The cause of death became known after the baby girl ended on February 19th.
On that day, GNL’s announcement stated: “On 17/2/2020, she was admitted at 13:00 5 years old to the Pediatric Clinic following a reference by a private pediatrician, after a continuing fever for week.
