Obama mocked separation rumors and says Michelle ‘accepted him back’

Barack Obama decided to play with the rumors that have been circulating for months about an alleged crisis in his marriage to Michelle Obama. During participation in the Podcast IMO Michelle Obama & Craig, presented by former First Lady and her brother, Craig Robinson, former United States president laughed at comments that suggest even a divorce between the couple.

“She accepted me back!” Obama said soon as she sought mockery, laughing from the hosts. Michelle had just introduced him to irony: “He reserved time on his crowded schedule to come. We’re honored.” Craig amended, “Wait, do you like each other?”

The light climate followed during the conversation. Craig joked again with the presence of his brother -in -law in the studio: “It’s so good to have you both in the same environment.” Michelle has not lost the joke and recalled the rumors: “I know, because when we are not together, people think we are divorced.”

Rumors about a possible separation have gained strength in recent months, especially after the former first lady appears publicly alone at events and making statements about being living a moment of personal rediscovery. There was even a affair between Barack Obama and actress Jennifer Aniston-algo never confirmed by either party.

In another podcast, Iheart Radio Work in Progress, Michelle addressed this moment of personal change and the weight of expectations that fall on women. “It’s the first time in my life that all my choices are for me. Now I can’t blame anyone but me for my decisions and indecisions,” he said.

She also reflected on the difficulty of prioritizing herself. “If I am honest, I could have made a lot of these decisions years ago. But I didn’t give myself this freedom. We women are afraid to disappoint others. So much so that this year, instead of thinking that I was making personal choices, many assumed that my husband and I were divorced.”
