A woman was arrested by police officers from the Prosecution and Crime Department for cheating elderly.
The incident happened yesterday in Pella region after first accompanying the woman phoned the elderly pretending to be physician. He claimed that her daughter was injured and initially requested the amount of money 38,000 eurosin order to submit to Emergency Surgery. The elderly gave the sum of 2,850 euros and a golden cross with a gold chain to the woman who was found and arrested after coordinated actions by police officers.
Further research revealed that the woman and her accomplice on the same method, on July 13 and 16, 2025, cheated Two older women in Pella and Kozaniof which the arrested received in total the amount of money 7,500 euros. A cell phone was seized in the possession and her home seized the sum of 600 euros.
Police investigation is continuing both to identify the details of its associates and for their participation in other similar crimes. The arrested, with the case file formed against her, will be referred to the Giannitsa Public Prosecutor.
