The Hellenic-Argyroupolis Criminal Group (gang) was dismantled by the Department of Prosecution and Delineation of Criminal Crimes, whose members committed co-conspiracy fraud and continuously in various areas of Attica.

In particular, as announced by ELAS, after exploiting information and coordinated operation on August 10, two men aged 24, moving with a business vehicle in the Keratsini area.

In the context of the pre-trial investigation of the Hellenic-Argyroupolis Crimes Prosecution and Crimes, it was revealed that the defendants from July had set up and joined a criminal group, with the aim of committing deception and consequently the gain of illegal asset.

According to police, the members of the group, acting with a different composition and alternating roles, initially invited morning and lunch, mainly elderly, using telephone numbers of telephone connections, pretending to be accountable and with the pretext of debt to the taxpayer or the pretext of amounts.

Subsequently, a member of the gang, covering his facial features, he went to the homes’ homes with a business vehicle, which had been leased by a car rental company and received gold and money.

After researching their possession and their homes, they were found and confiscated:

• Sung glass pair, surgical mask and clothing used in various scams,

• 2 Mobile Phone Business Devices,

• a small amount of hemp and

• Pharmaceutical tablets.

Police investigative investigation so far has been solved by 7 cases of fraud, committed in Argyroupoli, Glyfada, Vrilissia, Acharnes, Marousi and Piraeus.

As noted by ELAS, the defendants have previously dealt with the authorities for similar offenses.

The detainees were taken to the competent prosecutor.
