In accordance with Fire Risk Provision Map issued by General Secretariat for Civil Protection of Ministry of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection (civilProtection.gov.gr), for Tomorrow Friday 22 August 2025is foreseen Very high risk of fire (Risk Category 4) for the following areas:

  • Region of Thessaly (IP of Larissa, PE Magnesia)
  • Region of Central Greece (IP Fthiotida, IP Fokida, PE Boeotia, IP Evia)
  • Attica Region (including the island of Kythera)
  • Region of Western Greece (Achaia)
  • Peloponnese Region (Corinthia, IP of Argolida, IP Laconia, IP Arcadia)
  • Region of Crete (Chania IP)

OR General Secretariat for Civil Protection (CivilProtection.gov.gr) of Ministry of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection It has informed the competent officials involved in government agencies, as well as the regions and municipalities of the above areas, so that they are in Increased Civil Protection readiness in order to deal with any fire incidents immediately.

At the same time, the General Secretariat for Civil Protection recommends that citizens are very careful and to avoid actions in the countryside that can cause fire by negligence, such as burning dry grass and branches or cleaning residues, using sparks, cigarettes, etc. It is also recalled that the burning of the fields are prohibited during the fire period.
