Ford Performance is ready for the start of the third – and last – production phase of the flagship Ford GT MK IV. After almost a decade of manufacture for every Ford GT of this generation in the same facilities, this new and latest models will mark the “end of season” of the legendary Ford sports car.

With the majority of 67 in the total copies of the model already manufactured to customers, Ford Performance is now accepting new orders for other cars in the series. Made in close collaboration with Multimatic Motorsports – Ford Performance’s longtime partner in GT – the Ford GT MK IV has a cutting -edge technology that exceeds most of the racing vehicles, as well as incredible on -track capabilities. Thus, the iconic Ford GT MK IV becomes a collectible character, at the same time a car that allowed both Ford engineers and those of multimatic motorsports to implement solutions that are not allowed to racing cars, but also individual technologies that cannot be adopted in road cars.

“Our team has made every effort to produce the GT Mk IV. We will be sorry to see his latest copy build, but at the same time we will be happy to know that he will be acquired by a very excited customer, “said Mark Rushbrook, Global Director, Ford Performance.

The evolution of the Ford GT Mk IV was based on the Ford GT racing that took first and foremost in the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2016, featuring a completely new bodywork, drive and suspension system – all specially designed to deliver the maximum to any track day.

The Ford GT MK IV features a technologically advanced third -generation engine belonging to the well -known EcoBoost family. The V6 engine has a capacity of 3.8 liters and has a double turbocharger. The maximum power of more than 820 horsepower produced by the unit manufactured by Roush-Yates Engines passes on the rear wheels via a 6-speed gearbox and paddles for their succession. It is worth noting that this box works with an even more advanced clutch than the drivers who won at Le Mans.

The Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve shock absorbers, which are specially tailored to the most advanced suspension of the car, can be adjusted by the driver through the cockpit during driving of the vehicle in any track day. The carbon frame is common with the Ford GT racing and the Ford GT MK II, however, with a specialized upper security cage that is unique to the GT MK IV.

Factor above 1,088 kg of vertical force at 240 km/h, the Ford GT MK IV can develop over 3G at turns. In fact, this latest version is faster in one round on the same track in the hands of non -professional drivers than the original Ford GTLM racing car with the factory drivers behind the steering wheel.
