The state subsidy on household and business gas bills for April will be doubled compared to March, ie it will be 40 euros per thermal MWh in April, from 20 euros in March.
This information was made by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Costas Skrekas, in a letter to the gas supply companies.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the beneficiaries of the subsidy are all household consumers, amounting to 540,000, for the total monthly consumption and all commercial and industrial consumers, regardless of size, turnover and number of employees, except electricity producers.
At the same time, the discount offered by DEPA Trade continues in April, which will be set at 30 euros per thermal MWh for domestic consumers and at 15 euros per thermal MWh for industry and hospitals that supply natural gas from the company.
The total amount of support measures for natural gas consumers for April, including the discount offered by DEPA Commerce, will amount to 88.74 million euros from 63 million euros in March.
The measure will be evaluated on a monthly basis and the unit price of the subsidy will be adjusted according to the fluctuation of gas prices in international markets.
