MyConsulLive: 13 more Consular Authorities joining the service – How it works

Even more Greek citizens and expatriates living permanently abroad now have the opportunity to conduct their affairs with the Greek State through video calling, as the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Digital Governance proceed to the addition 13 more Authorities in the myConsulLive service. In particular, from Tuesday, April 5, the Greek Embassies in Amman, Abuja, Baghdad, Kuwait, Manila, Bangkok, Nairobi, Beijing, Rabat, Tokyo, Tripoli, Tunis and the Consulate A will be included.

With the addition of the new Authorities, the ability to serve with digital dating is available from a total of 86 Embassies and Consulates General in 55 countries, while it is planned to gradually expand the provision of consular services remotely, through myConsulLive, from all the Authorities that Greece has abroad. Thus, all Consular Authorities involved in the program can provide video call service for the following administrative acts:

• Issuance of a certificate of permanent residence abroad
• Certificate of marital status or birth
• Certificate of residence
• Copies or extracts of notarial deeds
• Pension beneficiary declaration
• Submitting applications or statements to the Consular Authority.
• Appointments are scheduled for a specific day and time at myConsulLive.gov.gr. For authentication on the platform it is necessary to use Taxisnet codes, while at the beginning of the video call the interested party is identified by showing a police ID or passport.

It is recalled that this service started to will be piloted in December 2020 with the cooperation of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias and of State and Digital Governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis. Its design and implementation was carried out by the General Secretariat of Information Systems of Public Administration of the Ministry of Digital Government, in the model of the respective digital appointment services provided by KEP, OAED, AADE, eEFKA, Hellenic Estate ( Municipality of Chania).
