Every child is born with the same inalienable right to a healthy, safe childhood, but the vicious cycle of war leads to human rights violations. Those children who have experienced the security of peace are faced with loss. The horror of war forced one million children to leave Ukraine according to UNICEF data. Children who, due to the ongoing war in their country, seek refuge, shelter in neighboring countries. Our country has accepted thousands of refugee children and is actively participating in the effort to protect them. These children are accompanied, if not by their own mothers, by a relative or family friend.
After listening to the growing problem and at the request of the “Together for the Child” Association, bwin, with a strong sense of responsibility towards the refugees, decided to contributes substantially to the creation of a modern hostel for these children and their mothers and / or their companions. In particular, the hostel will offer accommodation, food, basic necessities, psychological support, counseling services and training. This is a hostel in the center of Athens, with a capacity of about 20 people.
Once again, bwin responds promptly and decisively to a social call for solidarity, proving in practice that it stands by those in need.
