Spiral of Georgians, who committed thefts from passengers at its premises Athens International Airport “EL.Venizelos”dismantled, by Security Department of the Airport Police Directorate. Particularly, were arrested three people, aged 41, 48 and 53 years oldaccused of being members of a criminal organization.
How they acted
As for the way they act, according to ELAS, the 53-year-old was removing wallets, without being noticed. Specifically, he rested his jacket on his shoulders and a handkerchief to hide his fingers when he stole. The other two defendants were monitoring the area, while in many cases they were creating an artificial crowd at the scene of the theft.
What was found in the investigations
In the possession of the arrested, as well as in their homes, were found and confiscated, among others, 10 wallets, 380 euros, a number of bags and jewelry as well as a crowbar.
The police investigation revealed three cases of theft and an equal number of attempts at the premises of “El. Venizelos”.
The three arrested were taken to the Athens Public Prosecutor’s Office.
