Special measures are taken by Ministry of Rural Development and Foodfor effects of the war in Ukraine and the rapid rise in commodity and feed prices. The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure decided to take advantage of the derogations from the obligations of “greening” for the year of submission of applications 2022, as they are provided in the Executive Decision 2022/484 of the Commission.
Particularly:
1. In the context of the obligation to diversify crops and Ecological Catering Areas, set-aside land may be considered as a separate crop, even if the land has been grazed, or harvested for production purposes, or has been cultivated with spring crops
2. In the framework of the obligation of the Ecological Catering Areas, in the set-aside land, if the farmers decide to make use of the previous derogation, the use of plant protection products for production or cultivation purposes is allowed.
* The above areas are not counted in the coupled aid scheme, because despite the application of the derogations, these areas retain the category of “set-aside land” in the context of “greening” obligations.
* The above derogations can not be applied to agricultural plots that are included in measures of rural development of RDP 2014-2020, with an obligation of set-aside.
