Mother’s Day is only on Sunday, the 8th, but the time is now for those who want to leave the house to celebrate the date or order something special. Many restaurants have open reservations and orders for delivery already available, which can sell out if demand is high — so the tip is to anticipate.

If lunch is a tradition or even a cliché, São Paulo brings together several alternatives for those who want to vary a little or prefer to wake up early. There are options for brunch, breakfast and baskets, whether to eat with the family in the lounge of these places, or with items delivered at home for delivery.

Blue Note The concert hall, on the second floor of the Conjunto Nacional and with a balcony overlooking Avenida Paulista, launches its new brunch on Sunday (8), mixing gastronomy and music on Mother’s Day. The main option on the menu is called Estação Fria, which costs R$ 59.90 per person and includes cold cuts, homemade homemade jams, cakes, cheese breads, among other items. The kitchen also comes out with tapioca, such as strawberry with honey (R$ 17.80), and bruschetta, such as zucchini with chestnut farofa (R$ 39), for example. In terms of sound, a trio ranges from jazz to instrumental bossa nova. The brunch will be repeated every Sunday, when Paulista is open to pedestrians, always from 10 am to 4 pm.

In the Campo Belo region, the space with German roots suggests a typical afternoon tea, between 3pm and 5pm. The menu features traditional recipes served à la carte, such as streuselkuchen (fermented base, seasonal fruit filling and crumbled crust, which costs R$17) and apfelstrudel (filo dough roll with apple and spice filling; R$28). There are also combinations such as the Kaffeeklatsch, with a basket of German breads, fresh Minas cheese, lionese seasoned with pickles, cuca of the day, raisin and cinnamon snail, and a plate of buttered biscuits, quark (seasoned ricotta), among other items. It costs R$127 and serves two people. Reservation is suggested.

Hanami

The Japanese pastry shop opens the hall for breakfast on Mother’s Day. For R$70 per person, you can try a set of recipes with Japanese seasoning, such as shokupan, a Hokkaido milk bread served with butter and yuzu jelly, a citrus fruit, and the moti cheese bread, rice Japanese glutinous. The combo also includes items such as scrambled eggs, salad, hot drink, cream choux cream and red fruit parfait, yogurt and granola. The house suggests that a reservation is made.

A brunch specially created for Mother’s Day is the attraction of the coffee shop chain. From 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, three units of the house —Oscar Freire, Itaim Bibi and Morumbi— serve a menu that includes Greek yogurt with fruit, sliced ​​almonds, granola, red fruit coulis and orange tree water; waffle, frozen coconut cake, stuffed tapioca, jamón and arugula toast, among other items. The price is R$ 169 per person, with a menu also available via delivery, iFood and Rappi.

Stella

On the ground floor of the Canopy hotel, the restaurant is the tip for those who want to celebrate the date in abundance. Served from 12:30 pm to 4 pm, brunch includes fruits, breads and homemade sausages served from a buffet — you can also order eggs, pancakes and tapioca from the waiter. In the main stage, there is roasted sea bass or cacio e pepe risotto. Finally, there are five dessert options, which include peach pavé or tiramisu. The full service costs R$240 with non-alcoholic drinks; or R$300 with draft beer and sparkling wine.
