Next week will be voted on suspension of the adjustment clause in electricity bills, according to the Minister of Development Adonis Georgiadis. Speaking on SKAI TV and the show “Kalimera” by Giorgos Avtias, Mr. Georgiadis explained that from July and for a year the adjustment clause will not apply in Greece and the “This means that electricity bills will return to pre-crisis levels”.
Mr. Georgiadis stated that business accounts have already seen a monthly decrease and that now, “with the regulation we are voting on, it will be automatic for everyone, because the adjustment clause that is the big hoax is automatically removed”.
Other countries will follow the Greek model
Mr. Georgiadis said that with the suspension of the adjustment clause, Greece goes beyond the European framework and in fact shows the way in Europe that “unfortunately goes slowly on this issue”.
He estimated that other European countries will follow the Greek model until October.
Greece has little dependence on Russian gas
On the issue of natural gas, Mr. Georgiadis stressed that Greece is running very fast and the LNG station in Revythousa, allows Greece to supply large quantities of LNG. He added that our country’s dependence on Russian gas is relatively small and that already this winter through Revythousa “we will have sufficient quantities.”
The lignite units will operate at maximum
Regarding the lignite plants in Greece, the Minister of Development stressed that none has been closed and those that can operate, operate and will operate to the maximum.

Mr. Tsipras has not fallen in number since the first grade
